This is a direct link to an interview with Scott Anderson, who was responsible for the 2-disk interactive CD ROM, Alternative Animals, featuring a unique compilation of mostly unreleased music and interviews focusing on the early punk scene (1976-79) in all States of Australia.

Recently launched site (2007) providing the important service of archiving Australian demo tapes and live recordings. Email Matt if you have any old demos or live tapes tucked away in some dusty grave and resurrect them!

Here's something different - a promo website for Italy's Funhouse Magazine, which is in the same ballpark as Mojo.  Lots of cool articles on Iggy and The Stooges, the MC5, the Nuggets albums and all the usual suspects.  Lined up for later in 2006 is a feature article on Australian punk rock by Craig Regan, i-94 Bar's "Barman" (see link below).  Great, if you speak Italian!

Site devoted to the "classic" era of Australian punk/independent/alternative music (1975 - 1984), offering a means for fans and aficionados to swap and trade music (NB: nothing is available for sale).

A long-running fanzine covering punk, garage and power pop music from around the world.

Off The Hip is a magazine (each issue accompanied by a full length CD) dedicated to coverage of Australian garage rock and pop, a CD label releasing music by those bands, plus an on-line music store retailing a wide range of Australian and overseas music.

Once claiming to be "the world's largest source for on-line punk and new wave record, movie and book reviews", this is now a blog - hours of browsing here.

Devoted to Perth bands, includes gig guide, CD and gig reviews, details of coming events and a well-patronised forum. 

The site name says it all.  These guys could do with more patronage, so look in on them and have your say.

Interesting new site (launched September 07) featuring record covers of independent artists and bands, including from the early punk era - in the words of the site author, Bazzil, a "visual history of record and cassette releases from a great era of Australian music".

A site dedicated to 1980's Australian punk, centred around Melbourne fanzine "Regression" which operated between 1982 and 1984. It has information about bands and music of the time, a means for collectors to swap music and a good links page.

Rocknerd is a collaborative music news, reviews and views website published whenever they feel like it.
